Follow us every step of the way...
Crews are allowed to choose any car and to follow routes of their own choice. It's not about being the first team to arrive at the five different checkpoints, but getting there while enjoying each moment travelling through Africa. There is no support or rescue team. Crews have to organize everything on their own, from the route, to the petrol, the equipment and the accommodation. Africa is their oyster. Objective of the rally
-
To prove that 4x4s are not needed to travel across Southern Africa.
-
To prove Southern Africa is accessible, fun, safe & affordable.
-
Have an impact on tourism in Southern Africa by encouraging people to give something back, so that future generations would be able to share our experiences.
The main objective of the Put Foot Rally is to make a difference in the lives of the children of Africa with the support of the Put Foot Foundation, the official charity of the Put Foot Rally. They are responsible for donating brand new school shoes to the children of Africa, most probably their first pair of new shoes ever. As these children walk bare foot kilometres to school and back through dust roads on a daily basis, this small contribution really makes an unimaginable difference in their lives and improves their standard of living dramatically. We will appreciate it if you could take three minutes of your time and visit the following link to see exactly why we feel so strongly about this initiative - The Put Foot Foundation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6G9pwcu_Ok&noredirect=1
Thus the main objective of our crew is to raise R50 000 or more for the nominated charity during this eighteen day adventure.
Thank you for all your support and interest in the Mini in Motion crew to make our adventure a reality.
The Put Foot Rally is an African Adventure, taking crews 8000 kilometres across the African continent, through five countries and five checkpoints over a period of eighteen days. It runs from the 15th of June 2015 until the 02th of July 2015.
It is about opening up Africa to the world, showcasing the best our continent has to offer and emphasizing the fact that Africa is no longer the “Undeveloped Continent” as previously perceived.
Each participant acknowledges the “Spirit of Africa” policy: Crews accept full responsibility for their adventure and commit to promoting goodwill, cultural awareness and tolerance. Crews agree to respect the laws, customs, traditions and people of each country visited, but above all they pledge to look after all the African treasures, the animals, the fauna and flora and the most beautiful landscape in the world.

We will be experiencing each country in its own very unique way, meet the locals and experience the beautiful unfiltered Africa in a whole new way.
